Dr. Baran is a Board certified Internist who graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA in 1995. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois in 1998. He served in the United States Navy as a LCDR officer at National Navy Medical Center in Bethesda until 2004. He joined a traditional Internal Medicine practice and worked until 2004. He then worked in the emerging field of hospitalist medicine both as a practicing physician and as a regional medical director setting up practices in hospitals. After moving to Baltimore county in 2006 with Dr. Kramer he worked as inpatient physician in hospital ICUs, EDs. In 2014 he assisted Dr. Kramer in starting Padonia Pediatrics. He works primarily in hospitals including GBMC locally As an Internal medicine physician “adult” physician, he accepts adult patients in the practice. Although he initially saw the adult patients of pediatric patients he also has an adult panel of patients. Dr. Baran shares Dr. Kramer’s vision of a medical practice similar to medical care delivered in the past where the focus is spending time with patients, forming lasting relationships with families and providing excellent medical care
