Dr. Baran is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician who graduated from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in 1995 and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Loyola University Medical Center in 1998.
He served as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy at the National Naval Medical Center before practicing Internal Medicine and Hospital Medicine in a variety of leadership and clinical roles. After moving to Baltimore County in 2006 with Dr. Marie Kramer, he continued caring for patients in hospitals throughout the region.
In 2014, Dr. Baran helped Dr. Kramer establish Padonia Pediatrics. While he continues to work primarily in hospital medicine, including at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, he also provides primary care for adult patients in the practice.
Dr. Baran shares Dr. Kramer’s vision of personalized, relationship-based medicine, with a focus on spending time with patients, building lasting relationships, and providing excellent medical care.
